Are you looking for personalised Primary Tuition that helps your child grow in confidence, develop resilience, and enjoy learning?

I'm Amelia, a Qualified Teacher turned Tutor with a passion for helping children thrive. I create engaging, well-structured lessons that build confidence, encourage progress and provide a supportive environment where children feel at ease.

My lessons are tailored to each individual pupil, so taking the time to get to know them and building strong relationships is at the heart of my teaching.

Maths
Maths lessons focus on building confidence by breaking concepts into simple, manageable steps. Learning is fun, engaging, and designed to help children master key skills while developing problem-solving abilities.
English
Children will build confidence in reading and writing through engaging lessons. They will develop vocabulary, improve comprehension, and learn to explain their ideas through discussion. Images, videos, and texts inspire creative writing while helping children strengthen their spelling, grammar, and handwriting skills.
Supporting Every Child
Whether strengthening core skills or addressing areas of difficulty, every child is supported in a nurturing environment that helps them reach their full potential.

Holiday Learning Sessions are a great way to keep your child engaged and motivated during the school holidays. With a maximum of just five pupils per group, children benefit from a supportive environment where they can learn, contribute and build confidence.
Each week, pupils immerse themselves in an exciting new topic. Recent themes have included:
- The Amazon Rainforest
- Artemis Rocket Missions
- The Titanic
- Mythical Kingdoms
These topics inspire curiosity and provide the basis for engaging English activities. Children enjoy exploring the subject before developing their writing skills through creative writing tasks. All writing activities are tailored to each child, helping them develop the key skills and objectives for their year group while building confidence in their writing.
Each session also includes Maths. Parents are encouraged to suggest topics their child finds challenging so that support can be tailored to their needs. Recent focus areas have included:
- Fractions
- Time
- Geometry
Activities are adapted to suit each pupil's level and learning goals.
Sessions run three days per week. Children's work is marked daily, allowing activities and support to be adapted based on their progress and individual needs, ensuring every pupil gets the most from their learning.
A break is included during every session, encouraging children to move, dance, exercise and enjoy a snack. This helps pupils stay focused and refreshed throughout the 3 hour session.
Towards the end of each session, pupils work together on games and puzzles, developing teamwork, problem-solving skills and friendships.

Alongside face-to-face tuition, I teach pupils online through both group classes and individual sessions. I carefully design engaging slides and interactive activities to maintain motivation, encourage participation and make lessons enjoyable.
For some pupils, a hybrid approach works particularly well. By combining in-person and online sessions, I can offer flexible support that suits their needs while providing variety and continuity in their learning.

These sessions are limited, but offer fully personalised content tailored to your child’s learning goals. Lessons can include Maths, English or 11+ Preparation.
